We live in a world today that is smaller than any other time in human history, with maybe the exception of the first humans of course. Why is the world smaller ? The advent of the internet is the reason. The internet allows someone in England to communicate with someone in Hawaii in real time instantaneously.
Can you get any better than that ? Maybe we will with future technology but it will always be through the internet. Information is now not personal or local or even regional any longer, it is global. The entire world is connected through the net and will only continue to get smaller.
